International Rice Congress (IRC) 2018 Media Accreditation
Individuals applying for accreditation must be professional journalists and represent bona fide media organizations or agencies. The IRC Organizing Committee reserves the right to deny, reject or withdraw accreditation of journalists from media organizations who act in a way not consistent with the principles of the conference, abuse the privileges provided by the accreditation or put the accreditation into improper use.
To apply for accreditation, please provide the following information:
All information must be entered as it appears in the passport or other official photo identification document which the participant intends to present at the registration desk. Please do not upload copies of your passport, national ID, visa or other personal identification.
The letter of assignment should be on official letterhead of the media organization and signed by the Publisher or Editor-in-chief or Director of News and Current Affairs indicating the name and duration of assignment of the journalist or reporter. The press card must be official and valid; expired and self-made cards will not be accepted.
The names and information are for identification and verification purposes only and will not be published. The information will be retained for reference and documentation only.
Who is eligible for media accreditation?
Media accreditation is strictly for members of the press from a bona fide media organization or agency. It is not conferred to the information or advocacy publications of non-governmental organizations. Applicants must prove they are a professional member of the press with a verified track record of reporting for bona fide media.
What is the next step?
After you have provided the necessary information and documents, you will receive an automatic reply from the Secretariat. Within a week, you will receive a letter confirming your accreditation. Please make sure to show this letter (printout or email) at the reception desk on the day of the event to receive your press pass.
